Yoooo what's up everyone!! This past week has been one of the craziest weeks I've had so far! I'm in Maryvale now and it's literally the slums and everyone speaks Spanish which is awesome! It's a pretty scary area and I'm still pretty paranoid cause anytime someone drives past me, I think to myself, "please don't shoot me, please don't shoot me." It keeps me on my toes pretty well. We play this game called "fireworks or gun shots." It's pretty self explanatory because we hear a lot of fireworks and gun shots from our house and it's a fun to try and guess which one it is. Everyone's Mexican it's literally like I'm in Mexico. It's so cool here! My companion tells me my Spanish is actually really good and it made me super happy to hear because I feel way behind. What's up guys this week has been nuts!!! So first off TROY GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!! It was so cool to be the one to baptize him and he gets the Priesthood this week too and it was so awesome!! And there are like four other people we're teaching here rn who will be baptized in the next month or two which is so lit!!  We had a FIRE lesson with this couple named George and Princess and they're a super good looking young couple with two super cute kids and they loved the lesson!! We taught the plan of Salvation and they said that it literally clicked in their heads and it makes sense!!! They're literally some of my favorite people ever! John is also THRIVING and we have lessons with him almost everyday and he comes to church every week and he LOVES OUR CHURCH!! We're gonna put him on date for baptism this week and we know he's so ready!! How's it goin guys I had another fire week this week and had some crazy things happen! So, like the title says, TROY GOT MARRIED THIS MORNING!!!! It was such a cool moment because he asked me to be the witness at the wedding and obviously I said yes. Troy has been taught since August so I've been teaching him since the day I got here and not he's getting baptized on Saturday!! He also asked me this morning if I'd be the one to baptize him and I said yes and literally tried not to cry. I'm so so happy for him. He's such a great guy and I love him so much! We had some more fire lessons with John this week and he has so many questions and came to church this week and made some new friends which was awesome! Yooo what's up guys, not too much happened this week so it's probably a short email cause I don't have too much time.  I had some really cool moments where I got to actually use my Spanish with some people which was great!! A little fun fact, the area I'm in has the least amount of Spanish speakers in the whole mission, so I have no clue why I'm here lol. It was super cool though cause I've been mega discouraged with not being able to use Spanish and feeling behind in Spanish, and my roommates found this chick who only spoke Spanish so they called me and told me to help them with it and I was so scared. But it went so well!! I understood the whole conversation and invited her to church and got her phone number and she said she's down to meet up and talk to missionaries and come to church! YOOO HAPPY NEW YEARS!  New Years as a missionary is not the same lol but we still made it lit. On new years eve, we weren't allowed to go out that night so we played some monopoly, card games, and popped some martinellis at 9:30 and got crunk lol. We were still in bed by 10:30 but I set and alarm on my watch for midnight and just yelled, "yo it's new years." And everyone ignored me haha.
