HAPPY NEW YEARS

YOOO HAPPY NEW YEARS! New Years as a missionary is not the same lol but we still made it lit. On new years eve, we weren't allowed to go out that night so we played some monopoly, card games, and popped some martinellis at 9:30 and got crunk lol. We were still in bed by 10:30 but I set and alarm on my watch for midnight and just yelled, "yo it's new years." And everyone ignored me haha. It's crazy how much is gonna happen this year and I'm so excited! Happy new years to you all, I hope you make some fire New Years resolutions!

We had a pretty good week this week and found quite a few people! First off, TROYS GETTING BAPTIZED!! We taught him the law of chastity for like the fourth time and it top 2 most awkward lessons of my life but he decided to get married, so he talked to bishop today and asked him if he'll get them married, so they're doing it this week! January 14th is the date and I'm so hyped! We found a few other people this week who actually are pretty promising and I'm getting super excited about what's coming!

We were knocking doors the other day and we knocked a door and he opened the door, but not the screen door, and he had a pet dog that was literally jacked. It wasn't a dog, it was a dawg. It was a French Mastiff if anyone knows what that is. The thing was like 3 or 4 feet tall and literally 0% bodyfat. And it literally had biceps bigger than mine. Like I bet the dog could bench 225, no joke. The dog weighed 150 pounds and if that thing attacked me, I literally wouldn't even put up a fight. And he starts opening the screen door and I'm pooping my pants and I said, "should I be running right now?" And he told me the dog was nice, and it was lol. Then the dog peed in the bushes and the dogs stream was a freaking waterfall.

We went to Olive Garden for my companions birthday and he was turning 20, and after we finished singing happy birthday to him, an old lady comes up and wished him happy birthday. He said thanks and then she said, "so how old are u turning, 13?" And he said, "no... 20." I started dying and then my roommates started dying of laughter lol.
I also had a life changing experience a few days ago. I used a bidet for the first time! I was at a members house and went to the bathroom, but I only went pee. I noticed they had a bidet and I've always wanted to try one, but I didn't have to go poop, but I decided this may be my only chance to try one, so I tried it anyways. It was an eye opening experience to say the least. I thought I was about to start ascending. The water soaked through my pants though so I had a huge wet spot on my pants and they all noticed which was embarrassing, but worth it. I'm definitely having one in my home when I'm older.
My companion was sick a couple days ago for like 5 hours and took a nap, which left me nothing to do. I sat down and read the whole Pearl of Great Price and it was pretty cool lol. Now I can at least say that I've read it.

Spiritual thought: I recognized in my life, I keep putting off my happiness. I keep saying to myself, "once I get a good comp, then I'll be happy." Or, "once I learn Spanish, then I'll be happy." Or, "once I get to Peru, then I'll be happy." And it's an awful thing to do. You'll never be satisfied with what you have and you'll keep putting off your happiness. It's so important tofind joy in your life now, because there's so many things to find joy in. Don't look in the future to find joy, find joy in your life now.
