TROY GOT MARRIED!!
How's it goin guys I had another fire week this week and had some crazy things happen! So, like the title says, TROY GOT MARRIED THIS MORNING!!!! It was such a cool moment because he asked me to be the witness at the wedding and obviously I said yes. Troy has been taught since August so I've been teaching him since the day I got here and not he's getting baptized on Saturday!! He also asked me this morning if I'd be the one to baptize him and I said yes and literally tried not to cry. I'm so so happy for him. He's such a great guy and I love him so much!
We had some more fire lessons with John this week and he has so many questions and came to church this week and made some new friends which was awesome! He also got a haircut and trimmed his beard and he's looking super handsome.
Elder Smith and I did exchanges on Thursday and we found this super cool dude named Leon. Leon is probably like 25 and he's from Romania and has a super thick accent which is super sick. We were walking around the mall looking for people and he came up to us and asked if we were religious. We told him about our church and he was so stoked. He kept bringing up temples and hoe bad he wants to go inside and we told him what you have to do to go in a temple. He was shook when we told him we've been inside and was so excited about it. He said to us that he will be rebaptized and become a member to go inside and we were shook. We invited him to church and he couldn't believe that visitors are allowed to go inside and we told him we'd sit with him at church and he said, "what?! You want to sit with me at church?? No way!" I said absolutely I would love to and he was so happy and we gave him a Book of Mormkn and he said he'd read. Such an amazing man and so elect.
Anyways, so my colonoscopy happened. My mom with kill me if I say anything in-detail so I'll say what I can haha. So, the day before, I had to do my prep which is just super intense laxatives. I wasnt allowed to eat that whole day and I ended up not eating for like 40 hours and I though I was gonna die. The day before, we went and plucked some oranges and lemons for an old man and everyone was eating them and asking me to eat it and I literally was like Adam in the garden because I wasn't allowed to eat lol. And then afterwards, the old man took us to a pizza place called Barros and got us all pizza. I walked to the 99 cent store and bought some Jello. I had to sit at the table while everyone ate their pizza and I ate 5 jello packs. It was a top 5 worst moment in human history. I was so hungry. Then I had to drink a half-gallon of my prep that night from 5-7 and the only way I can describe it is in D&C 19:5 when it says, "weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth." It was absolutely nuts. Anyways, the next morning, I had to get up at 2 in the morning and drink another half gallon from 2-4 AM. This one was even worse. I set up a table and a puzzle in front of the toilet to keep me busy because I lived there for 12 hours. I went and got the colonoscopy done the next day and it was crazy. I don't remember anything cause I was asleep and I go crazy when I go under anesthesia haha. I don't remember anything I said but I woke up and looked at the doctor and said, "no hablo ingles" and "yo necesito ir a peru" and "yo estoy vando a peru" and pretended like I didn't know Spanish. Then I looked at him and said, "hey doc, pics or it didn't happen. Then the nurse was helping me and I said, "hey what do you know about the gospel lf Jesus Christ?" And then I kept raving about how bad I wanted Coco Puffs and I started yelling, "I'm Coco for Coco Puffs." I yelled it like five times just like in the commercial and the nurse yelled at me. I have most of it on video and it's pretty funny. All is well though, the recovery is great and I ate 5 bowls of Coco Puffs afterwards
Anyways, it was an interesting week and we kept ourselves busy the whole week which was great! I love being a missionary and it's such an amazing calling to represent the Lord with his name on our chest. I love you all, have a great week!!
Spiritual thought: I love in 3 Nephi 12: 14-16 when it talks about the light of Christ. We all have the of Christ within us and it was a gift given go us to share with others. If we don't share the gift, we are wasting the gift. It's an amazing lesson and I hope you all share the light of Christ within you this week!!
(Also I reenacted me doing my puzzle, so don't worry it was fake and I was just pretending)
