SO MANY SPANKINGS AT THE MTC

Image
Hey what's up guys!!! I've been here just over three weeks now and it's been so crazy! I got my temporary reassignment to Phoenix, Arizona just a few days ago which is so exciting. I leave for Phoenix early Tuesday morning which means I'll get Halloween here! If you wanna hear about a really cool miracle that happened with my reassignment, go check out my facebook post but I'm guessing most of you have seen it and I still can't believe it. I get to serve with some of my best friends!!         This week has been so much fun! Last week, my district went and played some sand volleyball and it was so much fun! The weather has gotten crazy in the past week and it's been snowing and raining everyday so the view of the mountains is absolutely amazing!         Since this is my district's last week before we leave on our missions, this week we could only speak in Spanish. It started Monday and we haven't been able to speak in Sp...

I MISS YOU ALL!!

Hey what's up guys! I have been here at the MTC for just over two weeks and Tuesday marked the one month anniversary of becoming a missionary! This past month has been so crazy and I have learned so much. Not much happened this week but I'll try and think of some stuff lol.        Somehow, I think the food here is getting worse. It wasn't bad the first week but it's getting worse. Monday night for dinner, me and my comp showed up late for dinner, so we basically just got all the leftover dinner. I was handed a plate of what looked like canned cat food with a side of uncooked rice, pickled radish, and pickled lima beans. This was all there was available to eat and when I went to sit down, everyone was looking at me and my comp to see our reaction when we ate it. I was confused why everyone was staring until I took a big bite of the lima beans and radish. It was the most horrendous taste of my entire life. I immediately threw up all...

Acorns Are Actually Poisonous

I've been here at the Provo MTC for just over a week!! We've basically just done Spanish class all day everyday and my head feels like it's gonna explode. In our Spanish classes, our teachers speak only Spanish and don't speak any English during class so I'm just sitting there for three hours straight each class doubting everything lol. They talk so fast and only in Spanish so I don't have a clue what they're saying so I just sit there and nod my head like I understand. It is really cool because you can see progress with the language everyday and it's really cool to see me and my district getting better and better at Spanish every day.         My district is really cool and the three other guys that I room with are so fun. Everyone in the building is always in our room cause we always have somethin going on in our room so our room is always packed full of people we don't know and it's always lit. It does kinda suck though cause our room...

At-Home MTC Finished!!

Wow! To think that I have already been a missionary and done MTC for two and a half weeks now is absolutely ridiculous. The ups and downs are crazy cause there have been times where it was the worst thing ever, but overall, it has been one of the best experiences of my life. I go to the Provo MTC technically today since it is past midnight. I gotta get up in three and half hours to catch my flight but I can't sleep lol. I want to share a scripture that my grandma showed me the other day that I absolutely love. It is 3 Nephi 5:13 and it says, "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." I love this quote because it really has to do with missionary work. This is the missionary's purpose in a nutshell. It truly is a powerful scripture and makes me, as a missionary, feel important. The Lord chose me. He chose me to bring others unto him and live ...
