SO MANY SPANKINGS AT THE MTC

Hey what's up guys!!! I've been here just over three weeks now and it's been so crazy! I got my temporary reassignment to Phoenix, Arizona just a few days ago which is so exciting. I leave for Phoenix early Tuesday morning which means I'll get Halloween here! If you wanna hear about a really cool miracle that happened with my reassignment, go check out my facebook post but I'm guessing most of you have seen it and I still can't believe it. I get to serve with some of my best friends!!

This week has been so much fun! Last week, my district went and played some sand volleyball and it was so much fun! The weather has gotten crazy in the past week and it's been snowing and raining everyday so the view of the mountains is absolutely amazing!

Since this is my district's last week before we leave on our missions, this week we could only speak in Spanish. It started Monday and we haven't been able to speak in Spanish at any point which has been crazy. There is literally nothing more frustrating than trying to say something but you don't know how to say it in Spanish so you can never say what you wanna say. IT IS SO TOUGH! Me and the elders made some rules and punishments for this week if you speak English. We've been keeping track of points for every time you speak English and for every time you speak Spanish, I get to spank you ten times with a belt, you have to stand in the dish pit for ten seconds (the dish put is in the cafeteria where you throw away all your trash and leave your dishes and it smells SOOOO BAD), and then every time five points you get, you have to lick one of my toes hahaha. We made the punishments awful to try and prevent people from speaking English, and it did not go well the first day. By the end of the first day my companion had 30 points, Elder Bowcutt had 8, Elder Johnson had 8,and Elder Owens had 5. That meant that I gave over 500 spankings with a belt that night hahahaha. I gave my companion 300 SPANKINGS IN ONE NIGHT!! It was so funny and it was so much fun and his butt was so red afterwards. everyone in the building could just hear my companion getting whooped and screaming and they were so confused. It has been so much fun.

On Saturday night, it rained all day long so there were huge puddles everywhere. At like 9:30 at night, me and some of the elders and sisters in my districts went running around the MTC jumping and playing in the puddles and it was SOOO FUN! It was so cold but it was 100% one of the best moments from the MTC and it was so worth it. We also had Dallyn Bayles come sing "Savior, Redeemer of my Soul" to us and I got a picture with him and it was super cool!

On Tuesday, we had Elder Nash, a member of the quorum of the 70 come and speak to us. Him and his wife talked to us about seeing miracles in our lives and it was soooo good! He said that in our lives, we need to seek miracles and not only hope for miracles, but through faith, to expect them. It's crazy how many miracles Jesus Christ performs in our lives and we don't notice them. Jesus is a God of miracles, and he performs mracles in our lives everyday and I encourage all of you guys to seek miracles and recognize the miracles Jesus has performed in your life!!

Quote of the week: "Don't hold back from God" - Elder Nash. This quote is so simple but it's so true especially in the lives of missionaries. Don't hold back from God, and he will NEVER hold back from you, I promise!
