Hey guys whats up! This week was really good and I started it off strong by buzzing my head last Monday. I had to do it to celebrate one year. And also everyone was daring me and I'm easily pear pressured. I now look like 11 from Stranger Things. This week we went and visited some Elders in the zone who live really far away and did some work with them in their areas cause they're low key just lazy and not doing anything. They live in a really pretty place and there's a big Jesus statue like the one in Brazil but a lot smaller that we got sick pictures with. On the ride home we had to take a taxi with two other 5'4 300 pound Peruvians. My comp went up front and I was squished in the back. The dude next to me was slumped on my shoulder the whole hour and a half ride. This week we went to this tiny town in the middle or nowhere in our area and it's just full of illiterate people. We started talking about food with a fam and they have never heard of a taco or a burrito....

WOWWWW ONE YEAR AS A MISSIONARY!!! That's so crazy! I'm gonna give a rundown of the week before I get into it. Most of the week was actually just having to run errands for the missionaries in the zone lol. That keeps us super busy. I did a baptismal interview on Wednesday and asked the guy if he'd keep the law of chastity and he goes, "ya I'll try." And I was like, "what do you mean you'll try, you need to follow it to get baptized tomorrow." And he just said, "ya that's a tough one, no promises though." And I just said, "OK you better try pretty freaking hard then bro cause I'm gonna let you get baptized." I respect the honesty from him though. I did an exchange with a guy based Elder Brough and we taught this guy who told us he's doing hard-core drugs. Then he tried to sell us some. We said no but he insisted and when he told me how cheap his cocaine is, I almost couldn't turn down that price. That's a jo...

This week was pretty cool! There were a couple days this week where we weren't able to do much because I got sick again. I think it might be covid so fingers crossed that it's not. This week I got to do exchanges with my boy Elder Jase Austin! So we were comps for 24 hours and it was so sick. Literally to be 4000 miles away from home but still hanging out with him is crazy. During our exchange we were talking to people in the street at night and some guy grabbed me and started saying some crazy stuff. He started insisting that Elder Austin and I go back to his place to do inappropriate things with him lol. I was so confused. I obviously said no. The guy was so insistent about it though and he kept saying it and he wouldn't let us leave. He kept saying that we were the most people people he's ever seen. Then he looked me in the eyes, pulled up his shirt, stuck out his tongue, and starting rubbing his nipples. I'm not sure if that was supposed to convince me. I told h...

This week week was cool! I started off the weekend on Tuesday leading my first zone conference and it went good! This week we've also been going to a different part of our area that we have to get on a bus for like thirty minutes and then there's just this little neighborhood in the middle of nowhere. We started teaching people there til we noticed that like half the people there are literally illiterate and don't know how to speak. We would teach lessons and they would just stare at us and not say a word and it was so weird. We taught the restauración to a family and I was just thinking, "you literally didn't understand a single word I just said." Literally there life is just eat rice, breathe, sleep and repeat. Crazy. This week I was able to do exchanges with the AP which was sick.
