COW LIVER≠DELICIOUS

Image
This week was good!! So ya on Tuesday I got to lunch and it looked like she had made Lomo Saltado which is a normal plate here with cut up beef, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and rice. I was starting and I LOVE Lomo Saltado so I just started inhaling it. Once I was like 1/3 of the way done, when I started to slow down a little bit, I started to actually taste the food and something was wrong. I ate a little piece of the meat and in my head I was like yo that is not beef. I ate more until I was like halfway done and then I had to ask the pensionista what it was. She looked at her mother in law and said, "do we tell him?" Then they told me it's liver. I did not like it. It was like eating gum but it also had like that gross grainy texture like in throw up. Not a fan. Then as we were leaving a freaking bird pooped on my suit jacket. It was the cherry on top. Anyways some cool stuff goin on with our boy Mauricio. So I baptized him a few weeks ago and when he got baptized he said...

COW HEART= DELICIOUS

What's up everyone!! So we did some apartment shopping and we found one that we liked. We came back the next day to tell the lady that we want it and there was literally already a family living in it. Somehow within 24 hours, a family had already literally completely moved in. Ya so I was given cow heart for dinner on Father's day. It's a meal in Peru called anticucho and they put it on a skewer like a shish kebab and I swear it was actually pretty dang good. A little chewy, but once you forget what you're actually eating, it's good stuff. I did some exchanges with the zone leaders and their area is even poorer than mine and it was really sad. Like my area is super poor but we went to one part of their area and the people don't even have walls. Their house is just held up by like 8 wooden beams with a half straw and half wooden roof. They had dug out a little hole in the ground in the middle of their house so when it rains, it fills up with water and then they b...

SOO MANY MIRACLES

Yo this week was so blessed.  I feel like I was spoiled this week from the miracles we saw. I'm gonna share three big ones we saw. 1. So we've been working with this 10 year old named Diego for like a month and a half, having lessons every other day with only him. The kid acts like he's 30 and understands the Bible and book of Mormon and our lessons and is so smart. At his age you'd catch me playing Lego star wars, just dance 2, or trying to dig a hole in the ground all the way to China. But this kid is talking to missionaries on his own. His mom hasn't let him get baptized for weeks and hated us and he even pretended to be his mom a few times and gave us fake permission to baptize him lol. Anyways, SHE LET US BALTIZE HIM!! He shared his testimony with her and changed her heart! I was able to baptize him too which was awesome! 2. Mauricio is someone we've been working with for a while and we've tried to baptize but he's told us he has doubts about stuff....
