COW LIVER≠DELICIOUS

This week was good!! So ya on Tuesday I got to lunch and it looked like she had made Lomo Saltado which is a normal plate here with cut up beef, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and rice. I was starting and I LOVE Lomo Saltado so I just started inhaling it. Once I was like 1/3 of the way done, when I started to slow down a little bit, I started to actually taste the food and something was wrong. I ate a little piece of the meat and in my head I was like yo that is not beef. I ate more until I was like halfway done and then I had to ask the pensionista what it was. She looked at her mother in law and said, "do we tell him?" Then they told me it's liver. I did not like it. It was like eating gum but it also had like that gross grainy texture like in throw up. Not a fan. Then as we were leaving a freaking bird pooped on my suit jacket. It was the cherry on top.

Anyways some cool stuff goin on with our boy Mauricio. So I baptized him a few weeks ago and when he got baptized he said, "ok I'll get baptized but I will not serve a mission I don't wanna do that." And we told him he doesn't have to. This week we were with him and he asked me, "where do you think I'm gonna go on my mission?" I was like, "wait what are you gonna serve a mission??" And he explained how he's already taking mission prep classes and everything and he's SOOO excited!! I THINK THIS IS SOOO COOL!! So we brought him with his to some lessons cause he was like legit begging us to take him, and he loved it soooo much!! And we did too, until he started sharing false doctrine about Adam and Eve lol. Our friend in the lesson said, "I don't understand, what would've happened if they didn't eat the fruit??" And I went to talk but Mauricio cut me off and goes, "I used to wonder the same thing, then I looked it up on Google and YouTube and found out that....." And then what he shared was completely false lol. He had the right intentions though.

We have this awesome new guy we're teaching named Juan Carlos!! He loves us and our lessons and he's on house arrest so we go and visit him and share a lesson and we're like the only contact he has with people cause he can't leave. He wants to be baptized but, you know, house arrest. We also don't know what he's done to be there but he said he's got a long time that he has to do it lol. He's sick though.

Yooo I got in a crazy bash this week. This guy brought us into his house and sat us down and just started ripping into us. So I hadn't been in a bash since the beginning of my mission when I didn't know anything and I would stay quiet, but this time, I knew my stuff and I was prepared. My comp is literally a couple weeks into the mission so he didn't say a word lol. The dude was telling us that Martin Luther founded our church and that Joseph Smith was an antichrist and nothing that isn't in the Bible is not true. Anytime I talked he yelled, "FALSE FALSE FALSE FALSE!!!" It soon just turned into a roast battle back and forth. I have regrets, I should've left, but on the bright side, I killed it. I won that battle so hard. We left and my son was like, "you did so good that was awesome." And I was like, "no I didn't, we're not supposed to do that, that was bad of me." I did do pretty good though lol.

Spiritual thought: I've been learning a lot lately about the importance of the book of Mormon. Theres a reason it's the keystone of our religion. If that Blom is true, everything else is true, but if it's not, nothing is. Once we get that testimony of the Book of Mormon, everything else comes from that one testimony. We're able to know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, that he restored the church of Jesus Christ, and that we have a living Prophet today receiving revelation for us. I can't explain the testimony I've gained in my mission of the Book of Mormon. Nobody could ever convince me its not true. We all need to gain a testimony of this book and EVERYTHING else will fall into place:))

Have a good week and prayers up that I get a fan soon cause I basically didn't sleep this past week without one.
