LOS CANGREJOS

Hey what's up everyone! This is a little late lol, this was meant for last week but I just noticed I forget to send it:)


This week has been soooo good!! Me and my comp have been mostly just GRINDING to try and find a new apartment, try to know the members, find ANYONE who will listen to us, and get to know the area. We still haven't found an apartment so we walk like 2 miles to our area everyday:( But we've met some amazing members and I LOVE THEM! We've also had some insane miracles!


So we received a reference from a guy named Manuel. He told us to call him right away so we called and he told us that he's a member and hasn't gone to church for 30 years but his family isnt members. After days of literally trying to explain Manuel how to send his location to us, we had a lesson AND PUT HIS DAUGHTER ON DATE! Her name's Iris and she's 12 and she's the sweetest and shyest little girl. We asked her if she wants to be baptized and in the most monotone voice ever, as if she was reading off a paper, she says, "yes I need to be baptized to live with God and Jesus... and to make them happy... I will do it" It was great! She's more excited than you might think!


Then on Sunday, we had a member come up to us and say, "elders this is my 10 year old son Jacob, he hasn't been baptized yet, we don't know why. we need you to baptize him." The kid literally led the primary program in church that day so he's pretty solid!


Also I found out my friends from my last area Ana and her mom Hilda were baptized!!! I almost cried when I found out. I love them so much and I miss them. Such a great fam.


This pday, we went to a beach nearby called Los Cangrejos. IT WAS SOOO PRETTY AND COOL! It was a really nice beach and I caught a bunch of crabs and we did a little hike and it was so fun. I wanted to get in the water so bad.


This week has been so good though! Me and my comp have so much fun and it literally just feels like I'm with one of my boys. I love this place.

Merry Christmas

Hey everyone merry Christmas! I hope you all had a good Christmas! This week was pretty good we had a lot of stuff happen! So last Wednesday we had out huge mission Christmas party which was lit. We met up with the whole mission and the party didn't end a little after midnight and we still had to get on our bus and get home, so we didn't get to bed til about 2. Then the next morning we got up at 5:30 to get on the bus again and go to Piura again for our Multi zone conference in Piura. Then we came back home on the bus again late that night. Super exhausting but super fun! We've been able to find a good amount of people this week and we've seen a lot of success! It's been super fun lately in our area and me and my comp have so much fun together. On Saturday, we were in the area Mi Perú which is the poorest area in the whole city and the poorest place I've seen in my whole mission. DENGUE AGAIN

Hey how's its going! these last few weeks have been pretty good! A couple weeks ago we had a baptism for Kathryn and it went super good! It had to be like my firstbaotism ever where we didn't have a ton of problems, cause it went well! I got to baptize her and she couldn't stop smiling when she came out of the water!! Also ya a couple weeks ago, we visited a member who lives in such a sick house right along the river and jungle area. It was night time and the mosquitos were having a BLAST on me. The hermano looked at me and said, "oh don't worry, there's no mosquitos over here." And I wanted to say, hermano I litetally just had 2 of them fly into my ears and I've been smacking my body like SpongeBob and Patrick in that one scene in the SpongeBob movie for the past 20 minutes. The next morning I counted 42 bites on my right ankle, and 26 on my left ankle. I told my comp the next day, "ain't no way I don't get dengue from this." That ni...
