WE GOT A TEMPLE!!

Hey whats up guys! General conference the past two days were SOOO COOL!! It's so different as a missionary! Also this city Piura has been PRAYING for years for a temple and we all fasted this week for a temple here, AND WE'RE GETTING ONE!! We watched it at church with a bunch of members and I'll never forget the moment President Nelson said "Piura, Peru" and all the screams, hugs, tears, prayers, joy, and the spirit that filled the room. One of the most special moments of my mission. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THESE PEOPLE!!

This week we had a baptism for our friend Korina! It was so great she's 8 years old and she's a sweetheart!! When I say everything went wrong, I'm fr, everything went wrong. The church ran out of water when the font had only filled a couple inches and we called and facetimed so many people to try and fix it and nothing worked. We were running around trying to do something for like 4 hours and people were already at the church and it was 30 minutes after it was supposed to start. One of the members was just yelling at us for not figuring it out and not fixing it and I was so dang frustrated. Like HERMANA LILY I CANT CONTROL IT! She kept telling us we were terrible and we ruined everything. She was the adversary fr. We ended having to go to the stake center and do it there. I was sprinting back and forth and filling the font with a bucket for 30 minutes and we didn't have the baptism til like 9:30 that night, BUT IT HAPPENED! Top 2 most stressful days ever.

Also we had transfers this week! I'm staying here as zone leader and Elder Bryant left :( I fr miss him so much he was like my best friend. But I got Elder Murray here and he's cool! It's his first time as zone leader so I'm just kinda teaching him how to do it.

Also last night at like 10 I got a call from some guy named Max who I don't know. I answer and he's just bawling and crying through the phone. I was like, "yo I think you got the wrong number, I have no idea who you are." He said he wanted to talk to us cause he's an inactive member and he starts telling me all these naughty things he did with his girlfriend and how bad he feels and he wants to be forgiven. I was so confused. It was kinda sad cause he just just saying, " Elder please forgive me please, I'm so sorry I don't know why I did it, I let you and God down." Then he said, "Elder can you please just let me know everything's gonna be OK?" I felt so much pressure. I had no idea what to say to that. I talked with him and told him it's OK and he's just bawling through the phone the whole time. It was wild. It was good though. It ended being like a 20 minute call and it was good.

Anyways I'm doing great! I loved President Oaks talk in conference, it was so good! Also Predient Nelson's quote will go down in the history books."Think Celestial." So fire. How does he come up with that.
