PARABLE OF THE EMPANADA

Hey what's up everyone!! The past couple weeks have been so good and I'm having a lot of fun so far this transfer!

We have such a good ward and friends here in this ward that I LOVEEE!! We have our friend José who should be baptized this week and he's super cool! José is like 70 and he lives alone and he's like 90% blind and his house is made of cardboard and his roof is a bed sheet. Inside his house all he owns is 2 shirts, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of slippers, 3 chairs, a bed, a bag of rice, and 4 chickens. In a less with him last week, he was going off about how blessed he is and I looked around and saw what he really had, and in the middle of the lesson, I just started crying. I dont know why. I just felt so overwhelmed and so lucky for the life I have.

We also have a family of 4 named Danitza, Ana, Juan, and Hilda. They're the sweetest family ever and I love them! They have a date for next week and we're so excited for them!

Ok I have to share the craziest miracle EVER from this week. I'll try to do it fast. So Thursday night we're walking home and realized we were gonna walk past a street vendor who sells these cheese empanadas that are SO GOOD who's always in the same spot. Each one costs $1.50 so I reach in my coin pouch, I only have $1.20. I ask my comp how much he has, he's got $1.70. That means we have $2.90 total. Literally 10 cents short. I start to STRESS. I tell my comp that we need to watch the ground and look for 10 cents. We're getting closer to the street vendor. I'm holding back tears thinking I'm gonna watch my comp eat his empanada while I don't get one. I'm heavy stressing and playing with the coins inmy pocket when all of a sudden I think, "hold up, one of these coins is bigger than the other..." I pull the coins out AND ONE OF MY 10 CENT COINS TURNED TO A 20 CENT COIN!!! I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING!! You literally can't make this up. I literally had 2 10 cent coins and I now have a 20 cent coin and a 10 cent coin. Exactly enough for my cheese empanada. I nearly cried. God provides. God is in the little things. God cares about our cheese empanadas.

I think that's about it! I hope you all have a good week! Remember, if we care about something, no matter how small, God cares about it. He cares about our cheese empanadas!

God bless
