WE HAVE WATER!!!
What's up everyone!! Just thought I'd share some GREAT news, I HAVE RUNNING WATER AGAIN!! After 10 days of no water, it turned on this morning so I was able to shower for the first time in 10 days!!! I DONT STINK ANYMORE!! We bathed in the baptismal font again on thursday with a bucket but besides that, nothing. Nada. Pretty disgusting but we're now!!
Last pday was sick, we had a mission wide pday on Wednesday and we went to this big like jungle in the middle of nowhere next to a huge river. It was literally so cool!! We did some little games which were actually not the best but I got to hang out with all my boys in the mission including my best friend back home jase!! While we were there eating lunch, I kid you not, a coconut fell from a tree and landed on this girl's head. Literally straight from Looney Tunes or something, it was the funniest thing ever. You can't make this stuff up.
Also I keep forgetting to use sun screen and I counted my bug bites on my body the other day. 136 bites. I'm so itchy. I'm out here just feeding every mosquito in the country. While we were counting the bug bites, I marked them all with a sharpie and there were some I couldn't see so my comp helped me out and dotted all the ones I couldn't see. He's the goat fr.
So I got called out by my sister that I guess I try to hard to be funny in my emails and I don't post any missionary stuff, so I will Katelyn. The work is awesome here! Our buddy Diego is 11 and LOVES the church and wants to be baptized soooo bad but his mom doesn't like us and won't let him:((( Sometimes I wish I could just show people THIS IS THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST I SWEAR!!! But it doesn't work like that. Andy should be baptized soon, he's 18 and he's a very nice guy and I really love him. We teaching a few families and one of them is literally like my family here. We have lessons with them like every day and I love them SOOOO MUCH!! They're literally my family like I feel like I'd be comfortable farting in front of them. They make me so happy and I hope so badly they continue to progress. It's crazy how many people I already love here. It makes it SO much easier as a missionary to just love the people you teach, it makes it so fun. PRAY FOR ALL THESE AMAZING PEOPLE PLEASE!!
Yesterday we were walking down the road and two kids came up to us who were like 7 years old and asked us for a pa.pmet to read and I only had a chastity and word of wisdom pamphlet, so I gave them them and they were so hyped lol. You're never too young.
Oh also I bought a guitar. I gave up after two days
Spiritual Thought: I've been thinking a lot this week about something. I don't remember who said it but one of the general authorities said, "if you go to church and receive personal revelation and answers to our questions, that is your fault." It's so true. We can't say, "oh the speakers weren't good." Or, "they weren't talking about the topic I have a question about." It doesn't matter who's talking, or what they're talking about, the spirit is there, and HE will teach you. The speaker could be talking about Joseph Smith and you could receive an answer to a question about chastity or something that doesn't relate. That's personal revelation. That's why they always say, "be in tune with the spirit." And I can't make an excuse and say, "oh well church is in spanish and I literally understand like 30% of what they say." The spirit talks to us in every language as long as we're listening!!
