Elder Barnard

what's up everyone!! I gotta share another story about my amazing, but gullible roommate, Elder Barnard. you might remember my last email about all the things he's said so far and he is not the brightest missionary, that's for sure, but he is so loved. the other day I was eating this Mexican cake thing and it was a marshmallow cake with raspberry and coconut and it tasted like one of those Hostess Snowballs, if you know what those are. so I look at Elder Barnard and said, "yo you gotta try a bite it's really good, it tastes like a Snowball."(referring to the Hostess Snowball.) and dude goes, "nah I'm good my man, I don't like the taste of snow." I sat there for about five seconds just looking at him, absolutely amazed at what he had just said. I started laughing and he said, "oh no I said something stupid didn't I?" And I asked him, "you thought this cake was snow flavored?" And he understood his mistake. you live and ...

FIRST MISSION BDAY!!!

Heyyy guys what's up!!!!! Today's my first missionary birthday which is super exciting! It's been a great birthday so far and it's pretty lucky that I have my birthday on pday! This last week was pretty wild and I've got some crazy stories to share!! I still feel bad for what I did. We were outside for the lesson and I scooped the whole tamale in my hand when she wasnt looking and I pointed behind our friend Yaritza and said, "woah what is that right there?" And when she turned away from me to look, I ch...

What's up guys I had such a fire week!!! So much happened this week and we had so much progress with some of our friends it was so awesome! There's so much exciting stuff to come this next week and it's my first missionary birthday next week which I'm so excited for as well!! Being a missionary is a lot of fun, but missionary humor is absolutely awful. If you want to be funny as a missionary, you say, "oof", "noice", "HOYAHHH", or "bruh moment." I've decided I'd rather not be funny than to say that. It's not something I'm used to to not be funny, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make because I will not come back from my mission saying those words. OK I swear I'm not even lying, literally twenty minutes after I wrote last weeks email, we drove to Walmart and there was a homeless dude popping a squat literally right next to the entrance of the store. No one even looked twice and acted like it was norma...
